WHY CHOOSE VEGAN?

Create a better world.
From a vegan standpoint, animals exist on this earth for their own reasons, not for humans to exploit as they please.

Embrace Veganism!
Being a true vegan goes beyond just avoiding animal-based food products like meat, fish, eggs, milk, honey, or their derivatives such as gelatin, whey, and lard. Vegans also refrain from using animal-derived products and items tested on animals in their clothing, toiletries, cosmetics, household products, and so on.
Vegan diets, which include whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and legumes, are low in fat (particularly saturated fat), cholesterol-free, and high in fiber and nutrients. In contrast, meat and dairy products are high in saturated fat and cholesterol. On average, vegans live seven years longer than those who follow a meat-based diet.

Cherish all living beings.
Veganism encompasses an entire way of life, a mindset, and a way of interacting with the world. It involves consciously and actively striving to live harmoniously with other species, our environment, and ourselves. The goal is to eliminate all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty for food, clothing, experimentation, entertainment, or sports.
Environmental Advantages.
A plant-based diet requires significantly less water, land, and energy to produce the same amount of food as a meat-based diet.
Put an end to wastefulness!
Raising animals for food is a wasteful and inefficient process, consuming over half of the water and one-third of the raw materials produced in the United States, and is the largest contributor to water and topsoil pollution. The majority of grain grown in the United States is used to feed livestock, including 90% of oats, 85% of corn, and 80% of soybeans.
Rainforests are being destroyed to create grazing land for cattle. Topsoil, a non-renewable resource, is being eroded by cattle farms. Animal waste from slaughterhouses and feedlots seeps into the ground, contaminating the soil and poisoning groundwater and rivers; they are the largest polluters of rivers and streams in the United States. And commercial fishermen pollute the oceans with their discarded cargo.

Where do the nutrients come from?
It is economically unsound for an animal to consume food, process it, and then for a human to eat the animal to obtain the nutrients the animal got from the food it consumed. Americans typically consume three to four times more protein than necessary. Vegans can easily obtain the ideal amount of protein. All essential nutrients can be readily obtained from plant sources.
Every decision matters.
We are driving change, one step at a time. Even if you aren’t vegan, opting for vegan alternatives will undoubtedly make a difference!
Thank you for making choices that will benefit our planet.
